Today is #WorldStrokeDay, a day to raise awareness that a stroke can happen to anyone, at any age. 💜

While often associated with adults, childhood stroke affects hundreds of children in the UK each year, potentially leading to challenges with movement, communication, and learning. Early... support can make a life-changing difference.

At Brainwave, we support children with a variety of diagnoses, including those who have experienced a stroke, by providing specialist therapy programmes tailored to each child. Our therapists work closely with families, teaching practical exercises and strategies that can be carried out at home or in school.

Not every child has a diagnosis, but every child deserves to reach their full potential.

At Brainwave, we work with children who may not yet have a diagnosis or have a syndrome without a name (SWAN). We focus on providing personalised therapy ...programmes to help them reach their full potential, whether that’s through speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, sensory integration or learning and development.
