Our work is generously funded by charitable donations, and Brainwave subsidises most of the assessment cost for each child. The parental contribution requested for therapy would never be more than £500 for a one-day initial assessment. The parental contribution for the subsequent one-day reassessment, every 4-6 months, would be £400. You can see a full list of our fees below:

Therapy Access Fund
FEBRUARY 2023 THERAPY ACCCESS FUND UPDATE
We have made changes to the Therapy Access Fund (TAF), to enable more children and families to access our services during these challenging times.
This has only been made possible, due to the success of our fundraising team, and the generosity of our supporters, and will initially be in place for a limited number of families, until the 30 November 2023, or we run out of TAF funds, whichever comes first. If you would like to find out more about our Therapy Access Fund, please contact us via email: therapyaccessfund@brainwave.org.uk
We understand the increasing financial pressures that many families are facing and to help with this, we offer a means-tested Therapy Access Fund (only available to those living in the UK) to help families that are eligible cover the cost of accessing our services.
Everyone attending Brainwave, is expected to pay a deposit to secure their appointment, including those who receive support from the Therapy Access Fund. If you feel you would struggle to pay a deposit, please contact us via email at this address: bookings@brainwave.org.uk
See summary below:
- The household income threshold has been increased to under £70k.
- There will be 100% support towards therapy costs for those under this income amount, however, a £50 deposit will be required by everyone.
- You will not need to complete a TAF application form.
- A self-assessment process will be implemented, as part of the enquiry form, with no need for income evidence to be provided.
- A review will be carried out later this year, in terms of whether we can continue with this approach going forward.
- Once eligibility is confirmed this support lasts at that level for 12 months, (unless your household income changes), and can be used for all appointments i.e. initial assessment and reassessment.
You may be eligible for financial support through a grant like Just4Children.
