Family Support at Brainwave

At Brainwave, we understand that every family’s journey is unique. When you join Brainwave we support the whole family. We’re here to help you feel informed and empowered in your child’s journey.

What We Offer

A telephone call, in advance of your child’s first assessment, to explain and reassure you about what to expect on the day, what to bring, practical arrangements etc and to provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have in advance.

Emotional Support

A listening ear when you need it most. We provide a safe space to talk, share, and feel heard.

Information & Guidance

We help families feel more confident and informed by signposting to relevant services, resources, and support networks.

Some areas we can support with include:
• EHCP advice
• Toileting and sleep resources
• Funding and grants
• Sensory toys and sensory integration information
• Apps and learning resources
• Local and national organisations

Tailored Padlets

We create personalised Padlets filled with resources, contacts, and information relevant to your family’s needs. You’ll also get access to our main Padlet – Brainwave Connect, a growing hub of organisations, charities, and resources covering a wide range of topics to support you and your child.


Further contact 6-8 weeks after your child’s initial assessment, to check in and find out how you are getting on. If there are any teething problems, your therapists will be informed and can provide further support and advice if needed.
